Meet the world’s leading experts in coating technology at the 5th Mikkeli International Industrial Coating Seminar will take place from 17th-19th March 2010 in Mikkeli, Finland.

The programme will address the influence of nanotechnology and nanostructured materials on the properties of surface coatings and will include sessions on:

  • Basics of coating, coating technologies and analysis techniques
  • Functional surfaces
  • Coatings on plastics, composites and fibre materials

  • Coatings for solar energy and environmental applications
  • Applications of atomic layer deposition

The papers will be considered for publication in a special edition of the journal Surface Engineering, published by the Institute of Materials (UK).

10 Year Jubilee

This is the fifth in a series of popular and successful seminars held in the beautiful lake district of Finland on the shore of Lake Saimaa.

In addition to the formal paper sessions, there will be informal sessions where you can discuss coating issues face to face with some of the world’s foremost coatings experts and take part in recreations such as ice fishing, snow-mobiling and a traditional Finnish smoke sauna.
